Walker Homestead Winery, Iowa City

Walker Homestead Farm & Winery, Iowa City

In pursuit of an agricultural educational experience for students of all ages, we plan to provide a small venue fit for special life celebrations and everyday blessings. We are situated on an 85-acre farm, producing a variety of foods and wines, raising animals and honey, and growing herbs and flowers using techniques that protect the environment and help foster the development of healthy living.

Fireside Winery, Marengo

Fireside Winery was born from a desire to embrace the “life is too short” philosophy, a long-term passion for wine, an interest in diversifying our family farm business, and a wish to pass on our farm heritage to our children.

For five generations stewardship of this small corner of fertile eastern Iowa soil has rested with the Wyant family. Few places on earth possess the perfect combination of geology and climate as this land. Though corn and soybean are our primary crops, wine grapes have a long history in Iowa dating back to the 1800’s. Now our Fireside family is helping to rebuild a wine grape-growing legacy in our own rich soils.

Van Wijk Winery, Sully

With it’s cozy, warm ambiance, Van Wijk Winery is the perfect place for making friends and connections, and first dates and ongoing date nights. It’s also a great place to hold an intimate business or team meeting.

Jasper Winery, Des Moines

Jasper Winery – Being avid gardeners and enjoying all aspects of “the good life,” Jean and Paul Groben first planted grape vines in the year 2000. Described as “a hobby that went astray,” they continued to plant vines at their property located outside of Newton. In 2003, their son, Mason, graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a degree in viticulture and enology (grape growing and wine science). For reasons still unknown, a family business was formed. Later that year, grapes were first pressed, wines was bottled, and the fledgling operation was up and running.

Penoach Wineyard and Winery, Adel

Penoach Winery is a small, family owned winery housed in a repurposed 1917 barn. The front porch overlooks the vineyard from which many of the handcrafted wines get their start. The tasting room is welcoming and cozy.

There are 14 wines to choose from, both varietal and blends. The service is personal. Our belief is that your winery experience, whether it is your first or one of many, should be a fun, relaxing experience.

Breezy Hills Vineyard, Minden

Breezy Hills Winery is a family owned and operated vineyard and winery founded in 2004 by Darrell and Roberta Morse.

The three acre vineyard is planted to cold climate varietals that are used as the source of many of the award winning wines produced in the onsite winery.
