Rural Bliss started after I, Cortney, moved to the midwest after marring my husband, Dan, in February 2015. I grew up in a small town, similar to Carthage, so I understand the small town pride that is here. I moved up here from Texas, where I had a boutique in Abilene. I wanted to bring a different fashion to the midwest and worked hard to make it work, primarily on Facebook. After I realized I missed seeing customers and people daily, my husband and I opened up at our first location on the square. We opened after finishing our first corn and bean harvest together and jumped into prepping the building to open the first weekend in November for a huge community event we do in Carthage (Shop Around The Block).

Since then, we out grew that building and are now on the south side of the historic square in Carthage in a building 4 times the size of our original store front (Sept 2017). We now have an amazing store front with 2 great managers, Lauren and Lexi, and we continue to grow and expand. The girls and myself have huge goals for our business and look forward to getting to know you and adding you to our family of customers!
